Student organizations offer numerous opportunities to build connections with peers who share the same interests and with experts in the prospective field. This year hundreds of students attended networking events, speaker series, and workshops held by the organizations, and have aspirations to do even more in the future.
The following are student-led organizations at the Walker School:
Delta Mu Delta International Honor Society in Business
Faculty from New York University, Harvard, and Yale founded Delta Mu Delta in 1913 to promote scholarship in training for business and to recognize and reward scholastic achievement. Today, Delta Mu Delta is one of the highest levels of national recognition a business student can earn.
Webster University Finance and Investments Club
Finance and Investment Club offers professional and personal career development opportunities for students interested in finance careers. Events are carefully planned to provide networking opportunities and expose students to various career paths.
Webster Economic Association
The WEA provides students interested in economics and social sciences an opportunity to develop further their interests. The WEA organizes events, networking opportunities, and encourages the study and research in economics.
Big Data Analysis Association
The purpose of the Big Data Analysis Association is to work with targeted data, and promote the integration of research and application of data for the benefit of society.
Graduate Student Association
GSA brings the entire graduate student community under one roof to discuss important issues and concerns. They conduct activities that impact sustainability and social development, while contributing to opportunities for professional development.
Alpha Lambda Pi (Accounting Club)
ALP’s goal is to offer personal and professional enrichment, and career development opportunities for students engaged in the study of accountancy through networking and carefully planned business events.
Emerging Entrepreneurs’ mission is to prepare students for the entrepreneurial world by developing networks, sharpening communications skills, and building peer relationships that will be available to support members after graduation.
